The Vacuum Cleaner

The Royal Vacuum Cleaner can trace its origins to the P.A. Geier Company's 1905 introduction of its hand-held cleaners that were designed and built in the owner's garage in Cleveland, Ohio. The Royal Vacuum line is thus made by one of the oldest vacuum cleaner manufacturers in the country. The Royal Vacuum line was also responsible for the Royal Prince, the first hand-held vacuum marketed to the general public. The Royal Vacuum line saw a chain of changes in the hundred years since its birth, but it wasn't until the early 1980s that the company began to make serious headway into the vacuum cleaner marketplace. They were helped in their development by a new attitude toward marketing the Royal Vacuum Cleaner and Royal Vacuum parts, primarily through some of the larger retail outlets. The introduction of the Dirt Devil allowed Royal Vacuum Cleaner products to become well-known throughout the industrialized world. The company is today owned by TTI Floor Care North America.

One commonly cited disadvantage of Royal Vacuums concerns certain models being too loud, or too tall to use in some parts of the home. Other users complain that their unit is too heavy to be maneuvered easily. However, there is enough diversity in Royal Vacuum Cleaners and Royal Vacuum Parts that it is easy enough to sidestep these problems, if the consumer does his or her research beforehand. All in all, the Royal Vacuum line is still considered one of the premiere vacuum cleaner products in the world today.
