I rate it star star star star star
One of the oldest names in vacuum cleaner sales is that of Eureka, a company that has been regarded as one of the industry leaders - second only to Hoover - for the last century. Auctioneer Fred Wardell came into possession of a number of patents for new vacuum cleaner technology in 1909 and soon after formed the Eureka Company. Within four years, the company was producing six models of Eureka Vacuum Cleaners, and included attachments for upholstery, hard floors, and walls. By 1919, Eureka Vacuum Cleaners were being produced at the rate of more than 2,000 units a day, and Eureka used thousands of door-to-door salesmen and national advertising to get those products into the hands of the customers who needed them. Eureka Vacuums is currently owned by Electrolux.
Eureka Vacuum Cleaners have had a long history of being respected by consumers for their innovation every year, and have received critical acclaim from reviewers, particularly for their commitment to environmental concerns. In fact, their vacuums carry the Energy Star label of efficiency, which is a valuable acknowledgement of the environmental friendliness of Eureka Vacuums. Even after the purchase of Eureka Vacuums by Electrolux, the company's original commitment to energy efficiency and cutting edge technology has not changed. If anything, Eureka's drive to remain on the cutting edge of new vacuum technology has accelerated in the last decade, as new advancements have made their models even more efficient cleaning machines for the American home.
Eureka Vacuums consist of a variety of unit types and capabilities that include uprights, canisters, steam cleaners, and others. The Boss Smart-Vac upright is a popular unit t is especially designed to remove allergens from the floor and air, and the high filtration bag on the unit traps all of the dust - as opposed to bagless models that often fail to secure the allergens effectively. In addition, the unit is exceptionally good at cleaning up pet hair and dander from not only floors, but stairs, upholstery, and drapes as well. With its 15 inch wide cleaning path and seven different adjustments for carpet length, it is an effective multi-surface cleaning unit that is suitable for most homes and needs.
Eureka Vacuum Cleaners, like most vacuum models, have had their share of complaints. There do not, however, appear to be any systemic problems with the Eureka Vacuums, nor any particular parts or features of the units. Complaints seem more localized to individual machines and consumer needs, and can range from a faulty hose on one unit to a noisy motor on another. The general level of consumer satisfaction with Eureka Vacuum Cleaners is high, which one might expect from a company that has managed to be a vacuum cleaner success story for 100 years.
With its various models, features, ad attachments, Eureka Vacuum Cleaners are the vacuum of choice for millions of people around the world. With a long and proud history of service to both consumers and the nation at large - Eureka manufactured war material during the Second World War - the company remains an American born success story that continues to evolve over time.
